It’s WIP Wednesday time!

For pictures 1-3, you have my Pinkie Pie wig and makeup test. I usually use false lashes when I cosplay, but I wasn’t feeling any of them for Pinkie. :/ It just looked better without them. The Pinkie Pie wig was bought from the Five Wits at AnimeNEXT last year.

For pictures 4-5, you see my completed Pinkie Pie dress! I finished stitching flowers right above the ruffles today, you can’t see it in the picture though. Picture 5 shows the apron with her cutie mark on it.

For pictures 6-7, you have Aoi Asahina (which today is her birthday by the way, happy birthday to the SHSL Swimmer!). I finished sewing her jacket last night, and all I have left to do is style my wig, paint the little symbols on her shirt and shorts, and then embroider her emblem on my jacket.

And for the last two pictures you have my Akane Owari wig and makeup test. Much to my dismay, I could not get the spike that comes out of the top center of her hair, at least not without having the weft bottoms showing. But the rest of it I’m pretty pleased with, especially considering this is the first time I’ve really styled a wig. The wig was bought from Arda and went through heavy styling.

All I have left to do for her now is to get the shoes and make the skirt.

Progress on aoi so far. I still need to make the other short leg (I ran out of bias tape) and add the waist band. As for the jacket, I need to add the collar, zipper, bottom band, and fix up a few things. Then get the sneakers. Everything else sewing wise I already have finished. #cosplay #cosplaywip #danganronpa
